Perhaps evangelical Trump supporters would like to take a moment and explain the golden Baphomet goat image displayed at Mar-A-Lago, the one that is plastered with hundred dollars bills that say "in Trump we trust," rather than "in God we trust."
Can anyone explain how a non-elected official illegally wreaking havoc on the U.S government and defying judge's orders to stop has not been arrested, or physically removed off the premises of federal property?
The U.S. Senate, seated to try impeachments, in effect, said that Donald Trump is above the law, and they did it twice.
The U.S. Supreme Court said that Trump is above the law, and they did it quite explicitly, and repeatedly.
And, finally, a winning plurality of the voters said that he is above the law, and gave him the best opportunity to stay out of prison that any felon in history was ever handed.
Why would anyone be shocked now that Donald Trump is acting every day as if he is above the law? Seriously.
No American has ever presented the kind of existential threat to the American republic that Donald Trump and MAGA do. Not the Rosenbergs. Not even Benedict Arnold. To whatever extent you are empowering them, or failing to fight them, you bear responsibility for this great fall.
