Trump idolatry is an ungodly abomination
Lara Trump: “People ought to be kissing the feet of Elon Musk and Donald Trump"
Lara Trump, daughter-in-law to the president and former GOP co-chair, told Sean Hannity last week that “people ought to be kissing the feet of Elon Musk and Donald Trump.”
Brother Paul at Antichrist 45 highlighted Lara’s statement, and other clips of idolatry coming out of Trumpland, in a recent video. He says encouraging cultish worship seems to be a strategy approved by Donald Trump to paint him as the savior of mankind.
Just a month into Trump’s second term, official White House social media pages pushed out a phony, AI-generated TIME magazine cover depicting Trump with a crown and the caption “LONG LIVE THE KING.” The fake cover was accompanied by a similarly juvenile quote from Trump: “‘Manhattan, and all of New York, is SAVED. LONG LIVE THE KING!’–President Donald J. Trump.”
At President Trump’s 2025 inauguration party, Lara, one of the closest people to her father-in-law, said that the 78-year-old convicted felon “will save not just our country but will save the entire world.”
To demonstrate that the same cultish thought extends to Trump supporters, Brother Paul showed an old clip from a random woman in Iowa: “I have complete faith that this man is going to save us. He’s basically saving the world. Not just ourselves. Everybody. Everybody.” Brother Paul notes that Paula White, Trump’s appointed faith advisor, has taken it a step further: “Saying no to President Trump would be saying no to God.”
The intention behind all this abominable and ridiculous Trump idolatry is to train the American people to become docile subjects, incapable of recognizing truth or presenting opposition. Those who participate in the worship of this man are culpable for Trump donning an imaginary crown and forcing the world to kiss his feet.
What do the scriptures say?
The New Testament warns in 2 Thessalonians, “Let no one deceive you by any means.” The passage tells of a “man of sin,” who “exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped.” (2 Thessalonians 2:3-8)
Rather than join others in worshiping a man, we must put on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6), “abstain from sexual immorality” (1 Thessalonians 4:3), and other “ungodliness and worldly lusts,” (Titus 2:12) and seek to “live soberly, righteously, and godly.” (Titus 2:12)
Before the Assyrians attacked the kingdom of Israel, Isaiah called the people to repentance. Thousands of years later, his warning still applies:
“Seek the LORD while He may be found,
Call upon Him while He is near.
Let the wicked forsake his way,
And the unrighteous man his thoughts;
Let him return to the LORD,
And He will have mercy on him;
And to our God,
For He will abundantly pardon.” (Isaiah 55:6-7)
Peter said the LORD would appear to delay His coming because He “is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9)
Nevertheless, said Peter, the time will eventually run out: “But the day of the LORD will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless.” (2 Peter 3:10-14)
Paul wrote that the “love of money” had caused some to “stray from the faith in their greediness.” He admonished the Church: “But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. I urge you in the sight of God who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus who witnessed the good confession before Pontius Pilate, that you keep this commandment without spot, blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ’s appearing, which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen.” (1 Timothy 6:10-17)
And the idolatrous worship of their king Donald has pervaded many pulpits and congregations now. Earlier this year, our Sunday School class teacher asked whether or not we believe that revival is coming in America. One man answered and said, "Revival begins on January 20th." Several others seemed to agree with him. I do not. Any spouse who is licentious and is not faithful to his/her spouse is very unpleasing to the Lord God. Someone who procreates via IVF (which kills more pre-born lives than abortion) is not pleasing to the Lord God. Idolatry is not pleasing to God. Greed and covetousness of the property of others isn't pleasing to God (Trump's desire and threats to Greenland, Canada, and other sovereign nations). I've now learned that Robert Morris, child sex abuser and preacher, has been one of Trump's spiritual advisors. That is not exemplary of a true believer in the Lord Jesus, the Christ, at all.
